"Send out your light and your truth;
let them lead me;

There is no light and no truth that can be found apart from God. None can be found in me apart from what He gives. God is the source of all light and all truth.
The purpose of His light and His truth is to bring us to Him, to His dwelling place. All light and all truth lead back to God.
The purpose of God's sending of light and truth that leads us to Him is that we might approach His altar and find joy in Him. All true joy is found in God.
The purpose of God's sending of light and truth that leads us to Him, where we can approach His altar and find joy in Him, is His praise. All praise belongs to God.
May Your light and Your truth overwhelm our hearts, bring us to You, and cause us to overflow with joy in You so that our only legitimate response is praise. You are most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in You.
